The Harvard- Westlake Wolverines hosted the Chaminade Eagles on Friday, October 19 in a defining game for the Eagles. The Eagles kept the Wolverines at 34 when the Eagles had an astonishing 78 points.
Running back, Terrell Newby led the way for Chaminade with six touchdowns in the first half and with seven at the end of the game. He had an amazing run in the first half with 4 minutes to go in the second quarter, running for an 80-yard touchdown. Chaminade had eight touchdowns at the half, giving them a lead with a 56-20 lead against the Wolverines.
Leading the way for Harvard- Westlake was senior quarterback Chad Kanoff with 214 yards, 21 completions, and 1 touchdown. Up next for the Wolverines is a Mission League contest against the Cathedral Phantoms on Saturday, October 27. Harvard- Westlake will try to get their season record to 6-2 while the Phantoms go into the game with a 7-1 record after beating St. Paul.
For Chaminade, they now have a 7-1 record and are undefeated in the Mission League. They have a must-win against St. Francis (3-5) on Friday, October 26 in a Mission League contest. Chaminade will face the Golden Knights who came off a 42-6 loss to Serra. Chaminade won 28-20 to beat Serra on October 5th.
