Fall Club Day

It’s that time of year again!  The leaves are changing and students have settled back into their everyday school lives.  Just as every school year brings new students and trends, it brings back Fall Club Day.  This year there was quite a crowd as all the clubs set up their booths under the sea of orange pop up shades.  Many returning clubs such as Pediatric Aids Club, Rocket Club, Robotics and Harmony Chorus joined in for the festivities, using bright posters and pictures to draw new members.  Pediatric Aids Club President and current senior, Ariana Rowshan described club day as, “A great tie for clubs to interact directly with prospective students who want to join the case and get active in our school community.”

New clubs included Project Sparkle Club, which makes arts and crafts for underprivileged children  and the Giving is Winning Club,  which donates used sporting goods to a baseball association in downtown Los Angeles.  With the theme of family spirit in full swing this year, the clubs are all trying to promote a unity among students. As seen from the  twenty five groups that set up at club day the pride of Chaminade was renewed with every new member that joined.  There is a club for every interest on campus, from culture to community service; students are actively participating in their Chaminade high school experience.
